I am the creative director for Emory’s House, a Chicago-based non-for-profit and production company supporting emerging artists through events, workshops, and scholarships.

I collaborated with founder Miguel Salgado Jr. to bring his idea for Emory’s House to life.

Mr initial projects included a full brand standard, which you can find below, and a website created via Squarespace.

How it started…

Emory’s House was a brand conceived by a fellow creative friend of mine, Miguel Salgado. With his business-oriented mindset and my creative skills, we collaborated to conceptualize the brand identity for Emory’s House - a creative non-for-profit and production company where emerging creatives to find a home.

Creating a Team

Miguel had been a friend of mine since college, and we had built a community of creatives that supported each other’s ambitions in mediums like design, writing, theatre, and even tattoo art. From this community we brought together the Emory’s House team, a group of artists looking to create a place for creatives like us.

As a team, each of us has a different strength that we bring to the table. Each team member hosts events and has responsibilities within the company to keep us growing.

What I love most about Emory’s House is our mantra of “embracing serendipity.” It reminds me to embrace mistakes and turn them into a new opportunity.

What’s Next?

Emory’s House is hosting events that align with our mission of fostering community, cultural engagement, and creative expression. We are also crowdfunding for creative scholarships to provide to emerging creatives in the Chicago area. Stay up to date with our upcoming events and projects on our Instagram.
